The first of a family tradition? We let Avery pick out a Christmas tree ornament at the Christmas Tree Shop, just like my sisters and I used to get to do each year (at Frank's Nursery in Michigan):
We got a (fake) tree this year and decorated it last night after Avery went to sleep. When he woke up this morning, he was very interested in the tree, especially all the lights. He has not paid any attention to the wrapped gifts underneath though.

He looks so sweet standing next to the tree...my goodness, was just yesterday all of you were the little ones and the New Years weekend's were set aside for sledding fun in Grand Rapids.
