1 month pediatrician appointment!

Avery's 1 month old appointment was this morning, and we learned good things!

He now weighs 12lbs, 8 ozs.
He is 23 3/4 inches long
His head circumfrance is 40 (I assume centimeters)

He is in the 90th percentile all the way around! No wonder he's been so hungry! Lots of growing to do!

These are some pictures we took after we got home.

with Gogo and Auntie Mel

a bit more tummy-time cuteness

Naps and Harry Potter

Enjoying Harry Potter while Avery takes a brief nap.

Carolyn took this just before leaving for work as Avery and I were trying to sleep a bit more after being up much of the night.

Avery has had a very big weekend!

He's officially grown out of some of his 0-3months clothing. Yesterday we dressed him in some big boy clothes for a quick trip to Old Navy.

That night he tried out a little more tummy time.

And today, after church, we went for a family stroll through central park and then stopped for lunch at "The Chirping Chicken", one of our favorite on-a-budget food spots.

Avery's starting to notice toys

He's really been enjoying the toy bar on his bouncy chair. He seems specifically enamored with the plastic pink pig.

What a cutie.

Avery's first trip to the dog run

Kind of looks like a dog is growing out of Avery's hat, doesn't it?

Avery was no more interested in the dog run than Ruby, but Sarah and Rebecca enjoyed bringing him there.

"big boy clothes"

He looks just a little silly -- but adorable -- in this outfit of denim "shorts" (which nearly go down to his ankles) and button-down "dinosaur adventure" shirt. It's the right size for him, but it still looks huge. These were taken just post-lunch and pre-nap so that's why he looks full and sleepy.
