Eating Apricots

I finally figured out how to make videos and post them! This one is sort of cute because it captures him saying three of his most common phrases: "Oh no!" "Uh oh" and "all gone!" His new word today: "see-saw" (he was playing on one at daycare today).

Weekend in Massachusetts

Sometimes it is SO good to get out of town for a couple of days and enjoy sunshine, swimming, playing outdoors and cookouts with friends. Avery's friend Parker is now around 14 months old and is so cute! She is going to have 3 little brothers and/or sisters later this year, but for now she enjoys getting lots of attention!

After taking a walk in the hot sun to get messy and yummy ice cream, the kids needed a bath:

TV Tot

Avery watches Sesame Street every morning, and during this past (cold, rainy) week, he's also been watching some Dora and Diego in the evenings . . . he never sits in a chair normally when he watches TV:

Avery gazing adoringly at Elmo (or it might have been Grover):

Sitting in a normal chair with a book:

From Dora the Explorer, Avery has learned to say "Oh Man!" which is what "Swiper," (the bad guy who "swipes" things) says. He has also learned to do somersaults, probably from the big kids at school! He's quite the athlete. Our also accomplishment is weaning off the bottle. He is purely a sippy cup guy now.

Easter Weekend part one: coloring the eggs

Easter last year was right after we moved to Bronxville, and we did nothing for Avery in terms of celebrating. No Easter basket, no cute outfit, no Easter eggs . . . look how little he was!

mmm, Avery enjoyed his hard boiled Easter egg:

Avery got a new play-doh toy:

Both Avery and Ruby got haircuts recently:
