Hanging with the big boys: Avery got to play a basketball game with Carolyn's cousin Cody (10) and the two boys got to have a drum lesson from Uncle Donnie. Cody even read stories to Avery!
Ava and Mia are "Two cute!" Ava is Carolyn's cousin's 15-month old daughter and Mia is a baby Maltipoo that was an Xmas gift for Ava's aunt Trisha:

At McGurks: We didn't have a reservation and the restaurant was packed! But the folks working there were nice enough to open up the entire back part by the gardens just for us! It was like our own private party, and Avery got to run around without bothering anybody. While we were there, it began pouring rain, and there was a leak in the ceiling in the back. Avery kept going there to "take a shower." Under most circumstances, it would have been annoying, but he was enjoying himself so much and not annoying any other customer or employee that we didn't mind too much:
