A Marriage (and other milestones)

After 11 years together, we are now legally married! We got married in New Paltz in 2004, but New York did not recognize same-sex marriages until 2011, and finally, it was our turn!  The ceremony was short but very special, and "Gogo" was in town.  Our wonderful babysitter, Lucy, also came to help with the kids.  We celebrated afterward with a drink at Mickey Spillane's (on the house!).

Other recent milestones: I completed my Ph.D. (finally!!!), Avery lost his first tooth, and Caleb is officially done with bottles.  Carolyn was accepted to attend a mid-manager's retreat in Athens, GA, and she came back inspired about work and also her writing -- she is pursuing a couple of writing classes this semester.  I look forward to reading her work!

Rebecca L,

I love your blog. You guys look so creative! I would love to interview you about your family dynamic. I am a Casting Associate at Metal Flowers Media. We have cast many credible shows in the past, such as Storage Wars, Frontiersman, Bar Rescue and many others. Currently we are casting a show about different parenting techniques and I am very interested in interviewing some families with GLBT parents about their family lives.

If you are interested in speaking with me, please contact me directly. I am very excited about this project. I hope to hear from you soon.

Best,
