Our exciting news: our attorney called this morning. We have a court date to finalize our 2nd-parent adoption. It will take place on the 17th. We are really happy, because we didn't expect to get it done so soon. After the adoption is finalized, we will both be recognized as Avery's legal parents and we'll be issued a new birth certificate with both our names on it listed as his parents.
