We wanted to go to the Brooklyn Aquarium, so we got up on Saturday morning and went. We were all crabby. We looked at the "jackass penguins" (yes, that is their actual name!) and laughed. And the kids cried. And we thought about calling it quits and going home. Then Avery saw the Cyclone roller coaster off in the distance, and everyone's mood changed! We walked along the boardwalk, played in the sand, dipped our feet in the water (Avery went in all the way up to his waist), rode some rides, ate ice cream and hot dogs, and had a blast!
