Winter fun, 2014

 "Do you want to build a snowman?"

 Avery has been enjoying cub scouts.  A big activity that the boys do each year is build pinewood derby cars and then race them.  Avery made a simple wedge car, which he then spray painted green and decorated with number stickers.  He won 3rd prize among the Tiger scouts!

Avery's holiday concert at school.  They sang five songs, including "Snow Pants," "Kwanzaa," and more. Very fun.

Thanksgiving in Atlanta, 2013

We went to Georgia to visit my Granny.  Opa came as well as two of my sisters (Sarah and Hannah).  We had a nice time.  We visited the Museum of Natural History and the Georgia Aquarium, and of course we spent plenty of time playing at Granny's house.

Halloween 2013!

No storm this year! and no snow! Carolyn made lightning bug costumes for both boys, complete with glow in the dark butts! But Avery does not like to wear costumes, so her amazing student worker Anissa had an idea: she made a special iPhone, or rather, AveryPhone shirt just for him.  And Avery loved it! He wore it for his school's Halloween parade and to go trick-or-treating.
