Big Boy Bed for Avery!

Tonight, Carolyn put Avery to bed. She read him books, got him his stuffed elephant and Thomas trains (his bedtime entourage), and he went happily into his crib. A few minutes later, he called to her: "Turkey Mama! Turkey Mama! Big Boy bed!" (he calls Carolyn "turkey mama" because her nickname for him has always been "turkey"). She moved him into his big boy bed, and he is now sleeping happily. Our pediatrician has always said to let him sleep in his crib for as long as he wants since he is a big boy and can escape, but I think he has decided to transition on his own!




These are more sleeping pictures from last week, when he was sick. Poor guy, he had a viral infection and an ear infection. These pictures are from one morning when he got up super early and then fell asleep in the chair while watching "Wonder Pets."

Happy Halloween 2009!

The Halloween party at daycare was so cute! Everyone wore costumes, the parents brought treats, and we all took a short walk around the neighborhood!






Avery really wasn't interested in trick-or-treating. He preferred staying inside to play with blocks!

Avery's questionable fashion sense, continued.

Avery decided to put on Gogo's beaded necklace (as a headband), skeleton gloves, Thomas stickers on his face, and Mom's shoes.

Tee ball is funny!

Avery has been enjoying putting things other than balls in the tee ball stand. His trains, the salt and pepper shakers, and other toys all make excellent (and hilarious!) alternatives. The game continued outside, where he found it quite funny to put a large tree branch into his tee ball stand! He also likes to hit the ball with his bat which is, of course, the "ordinary" way to play!

Olivia called Avery's new Wonder Pets shirt (a gift from Grandma Gogo) "handsome." It sure is!
